Turkey Cheese Stuffed Meatballs


This light healthy meal is the best!  After finding this recipe a few months back this is the only way I make our meat balls and my family is a huge meatball eaters.  The turkey makes this dish lighter and you could use wheat pasta and homemade sauce to make it even lighter!  Pasta can never do you wrong
Now I also double this recipe for my family of 5

1 lb ground turkey
1 egg beaten
1 cup plain bread crumbs
1 Tablespoon dried oregano
1 Tablespoon basil leaves
1 med onion chopped
2 garlic cloves minced
1 cup Parm cheese
2 Teaspoons salt and pepper
12 cubes fresh mozzarella cheese
1 jar 26 oz sauce
cooked pasta

put your pasta sauce into bigger pot
Mix all of your ingredients together and part into 12 portions
Take a piece of cheese in the center of the turkey mixture and form a ball around it
Put meat balls into sauce and cover and put on med heat 20-25 or until meat balls are done
serve over pasta
