Salted Caramel Ice Cream

This is the last week of Ice Cream Month!  Last week I lied.  This is our all time favorite.  It has the perfect taste of vanilla, swirled with a caramel sauce topped off with a pinch of sea salt.  What could be better?  Wrong again, nothing could be better.  You have to quit doubting me. *winky face*

Now the recipe I got it from is a machine recipe but it is simple to make if you don't have a machine either.  Just pick your poison no machine or machine.

1 Cup Whole Milk
pinch of salt
3/4 Cup Granulated Sugar
2 Cups Heavy Cream
1 Tablespoon pure Vanilla
1/2 C Caramel Sauce
Sea Salt

Combine milk, sugar and salt until combined.
Stir in the heavy cream and vanilla.

If you are using an ice cream machine just pour it right in and wait 20-30 mins
When ice cream is done get a freezer safe bowl and add one cup of ice cream and then take a whisk and dip it in the caramel and swirl over ice cream.  Repeat  again until Ice Cream is gone

If you do not have a machine put the mixture in freezer safe bowl and go in a stir the ice cream once every hour for 5-6 hours. Once it feels like a soft serve add in the caramel like I instructed above.  Do not let it freeze over night or it would be to hard to dig into or add the caramel so make sure you do it during the day.

When you serve your ice cream put a pinch of Sea Salt on top
