My Life #10

We bought a house!

So first I want to apologize for being gone for so long and to let you know I am 100% back to blogging! These last two months have been really crazy, from a crazy amount of school work, the process of buying a home, and health issues with my fiance that are better now but it was right in the middle of school work and closing for the home time.

But as you see everything turned out great, we closed on the house, I am now done with finals and finished my first year of college and Matt is now feeling tons better.

Anna and Lauren have their ballet recital coming up and we did pictures the other day, Mallory has her last band concert of the school year and Lauren graduates from Pre-K and my last baby is headed off to Kindergarten in the fall!
.
Double birthday planning is also in the works for the first week of June for a dog and cat themed birthday.

But welcome summer and to a great 2017!

Let the food blogging begin!

My Life #9

Hello all, Happy Monday!

This Monday also means the second semester for me, back to school until May, 10 classes, basketball ball tournaments, ballet, housework and more; back to being 100% busy. That is okay though I enjoyed my small month break off of school. I got to do lots of things with the girls during that time. Speaking of tournaments, my oldest, Mallory, has had two the past two weekends and they are long. We are usually gone for 8 hours for the games but they have won two out of three games both times and we have our last one coming up soon. It has been a great season. Anna and Lauren are doing great in ballet, we have picked out their costumes for the recital and they are now learning their dances. The memory those two have are amazing, I don't think I could remember all the dance steps.

As I have stated I am on a new health adventure of losing 31 pounds by my 31st birthday in June. I have cut out all bread and potatoes and I am happy so say I am doing great and that I actually do not miss them and that is huge because my favorite food is mashed potatoes. Changing my diet has been easy, now trying to find time to continue to work out between the night time rush and homework will be interesting. I have been avoiding the scale until it hits the first of the next month. I know 31 pounds is a big goal but even if I make it to 20 I will be happy. I am doing the best I can and hoping for amazing results.

I have lots of recipes to share so be on the lookout for new ones! Remember if you have any questions or suggestions please e-mail me.

If you could also please keep us in your thoughts, Matt goes for his back surgery tomorrow, hoping all goes well and he heals up perfect.

Have a great week!

My Life #8

Finals are done, they are finally done; which also means that I can get back to blogging. I cannot even explain how busy this past month has been, it is still busy because of the holiday but I cannot wait to just to wake up and sit on my couch and not worry about homework. I miss you all and I miss blogging; I have made so many new recipes but I haven't even have had time to take pictures. So in this coming month be prepared for an explosion of recipes to make up for my lost time.

An overdue update:

Like I said above, finals are done and I finally have a month off. Life has just been crazy; from doing finals, to trying to keep my house together, making dinner, getting ready for Christmas, appointments, ballet, basketball, after school clubs and more...I am exhausted and excited about this break.

The girls had their Christmas concerts, Mallory had her first band concert and Anna and Lauren did a great job singing! They were all so gorgeous and I was so proud of all of them.

We recently went to our first football game. My man is a Colts fan I am a Cowboys fan and we were both brainwashed as children to despise the Vikings so when we went to the Vikings VS Colts game I had to go Colts. It was an amazing experience and I cannot wait to go to another one. The drunk people were all horribly annoying but entertaining when security brought them out and I just got a few dirty looks while I was screaming for touchdowns. Viking fans get angry when they lose 34-6. It was a great game and planning to go to another one next year.

It is nearing close to 9 a.m. and there is so much to do. I am baking Christmas treats today so get that out of the way but also today is my only day I can do it. So I am off to bake so I can share them with you all. So keep an eye out, I am finally back!

My Life #7

Happy Monday all! We actually had an amazing thunderstorm last night and for October that is surprising, I am happy with any kind of storm except for snow storms but I know soon those will be coming. It is gloomy today, the trees are almost bare and the colors are fading fast.
There wasn't much that happened this last week, it was just the usual homework, catching up on housework and the girl's school stuff.

Oh I did get a hair cut! You like? I like! It feels like I had 10 pounds lifted from my shoulder, not really 10 pounds but it does feel better and look healthier.

This week we made pumpkin bars, which are gone so that means that I have to make more because I didn't get a photo of them, I updated an old blog post from 2011, I actually have done a few in the last few weeks. I will post the link down below.

Can I get serious with you all, I am frustrated and not just kinda frustrated I am a lot. Between the kid's mess, my mess, homework, and the man of the house who goes to work when it is dark and comes back home when it is dark, I am exhausted. He tries to help but I don't expect much because he gets home at almost bedtime. I am tired, my house has never been this neglected, and suppers haven't been the best because I am in such a rush.

I usually tell my youngest who ends up crying herself to sleep some nights that I just cannot cuddle with you tonight because mommy has homework, she is four she does not understand that mommy has 2 hours until math is due or that I have to just read 3 chapters of psychology by tomorrow. I am trying to do my best in school and to pass so I can do the best for my family but I also feel like am failing as a parent in the meanwhile.

So tonight, I ignored the dishes in the sink and the pots and pans are still on the stove. While the girls played with each other, finished their homework and got ready for bed, I finished what I had to with my homework so I could cuddle with my sweet four-year-old who has been begging me to all last week.

I go lay with her, she tells me about her dreams, she tells me what she had for lunch today and what she did at school. Right before she kisses and hugs me goodnight she starts to giggle, she then tells me "Mommy you are laying next to the boogie wall! hahaha" I look behind me with a flashlight and there are buggers all over a spot on the wall.....

Just another thing to my "this house needs 10 maids" list

kids..

My Life #6

Whew last week was a busy one!  Last week was full of homework, PTA meetings, doing my demonstration speech, baking, cleaning and more homework all to have an amazing weekend.

Our small town has this amazing pumpkin patch, I just heard about it last year but we were never able to go. This year we promised the girls to go to a pumpkin patch. We were hesitant because the one we usually do to we could spend an easy $100 and that is just to get in, petting zoo, going through the maze and more. Then we remembered the one that was in out small town and then we found out that is was only $5 to get in and that included everything, bouncy houses, corn mazes, 100 ft slide, petting zoo, pumpkin bowling, corn shooting and more. If you are ever around Spooner, WI in the fall you have to check out http://www.burchbarn.com/ they are an amazing family, an amazing pumpkin patch at amazing prices.

So that is where we went on Saturday, the kids had a blast and we spent 3 hours there. We were wore out but cannot wait to go again next year. We picked out our pumpkins and carved them when we got home, baked some pumpkin seeds and relaxed with Zootopia, again, anyone elses kids obsessed with that movie?

Sundays are always pretty busy, did more cleaning, homework 2 hours of ballet practice and a wonderful visit from my sister in law and I got to snuggle with the new baby for a while. This baby fever is not going away I tell ya.

Now back to homework, I hope you all have an amazing week.

My Life Monday #5

Hello all, happy Monday!
I hope your weekend was great and that even though it is Monday you got a smile on your face.

This weekend was pretty calm, I got enough homework done to take off on Saturday so we did some random shopping and bought some pumpkins that we soon have to carve and some fall decorations that I got put up. Sunday was a busy day for us we put in a new front door which took more time than we all thought, 2 hours of ballet and a house full of kids, it was chaotic but the house is looking a lot nicer.

Ballet went amazing, this year is Lauren's first year and she was so shy and so nervous, she was slowly following along while twisting her hair. I know her personality will shine through soon but for now she is just being shy and sweet, they don't know what is coming haha.

This will be Anna's second year and she still loves it and cannot wait for next Sunday again, it felt like we never even left there maybe that is because we just ended in June! It is a great little dance studio and so glad we have one in our small community.

On our "Slow Cooker Saturdays" I made my Mississippi Roast which to my surprise I have never put it on my blog so look out for that this week and pretzel bites.

Remember if you have any questions or suggestions for my blog please feel free to e-mail, you can also find me on Facebook and Instagram. Go to my contact me header to find all that information.

Hope you all have an amazing week.

My Life Monday #4

Welcome Fall! Fall is finally here, our trees are turning, the days are growing shorter, and the weather is growing colder. I love me some sweater weather.
So I have forgotten some of my "My Life Monday" posts well because life just got in the way. I have been very overwhelmed with school, house work, kid stuff and etc. I was one screw up away from having a melt down, no fun. I just got done with 58 problems of Algebra so why not relax and write my post for tomorrow morning.

It has been a busy few weeks, Mallory has joined band and is playing the clarinet, basketball will also be starting soon, Anna and Lauren have joined in ballet again, the two oldest ones have after school programs, got sucked into the pta at the preschool, and every day life cleaning, cooking and more.

It has been harder to adjust than I thought it was going to be, full time school, cooking, cleaning, kids homework, after school, pta, sports and more there are days I feel like I neglect my family when I am doing school for 8-12 hours during the day and night, trying to clean, trying to cook, trying to figure out life and me. I will get it down, I will get there again but for now my life is a chaotic mess.

We did find amazing an amazing new hiking trail that is just beautiful I just wish this fall weather would last longer than a month because at 45 tomorrow morning, that is to cold for my liking.

Anyways props to anyone in life that is going to school, working, has a family and just trying to get by, this is going to be a rough two years but I will make it, I have made it through worse.

My Life Monday #3

Can I please be as comfy has Manny is being right now?  That would be wonderful.....
Today is Monday which means everybody hates it already but then add in school work?  I hate it more.  Remember last week how I said I was going to be stressed well I think I am over stressed.  This is my first break in 6 hours and I am still figuring out this online schooling stuff.  Get to know me posts that are graded, how well do you know the site quizzes that are graded, all kinds of go to this site and sign in with this number and find this and then you can do your work and have it graded ( I have figured one out of 4), and trying to find all my homework and assignments.  I am all ready over it and I am still not done for the day.

My girls are amazing and dealing with their  mom sitting at the computer yelling at herself and shushing them as I am trying to read 4 chapters that is due tonight already.  There is still a breakfast mess in my kitchen and they made their own lunch so double that mess, I still have to clean make supper and bring 2 out of 3 girls to meet their  teacher, this is going be to harder than I thought.

Onto something else because I need a school break for now.  For Mallory's birthday we got her a painting set with brushes, paints, canvas and more.  She loves art and wants to learn to paint and I think she is doing amazing.  I love watching her mind come to life here are two that she has done this last week.

Gorgeous right?  The top one is hanging in my living room and the bottom is off to her Nana Sheri.  I am so proud of this girl.

I hope you all have an amazing week and keep a look of for two new recipes.

My Life Monday #2

Books, books, and more books that is all I see.  Starting next Monday on the 29th I will be starting college, college at 30, it scares the living sheep out of me.  Saying I am nervous is an understatement I am not even excited.  All I can think of is that I have 9 classes homework, housework, shopping, kids activities, sports, kids homework, cooking dinner and more.  I am stressed to the max and I know I will be able to get a routine down but I am allowed to be stressed for right now.

I have been a stay at home mom for a little over 8 years now and going back into the work force excites me.  I have loved staying home with all my girls and watching them grow but now it is my turn that they will all be in school soon that I get to help out more with the financial burden that weighs on hubsters shoulders.  He has done such an amazing job and I just want to help and me helping is getting a degree that will pay more than any other job.  I have done it before but it didn't help pay the bills like it needed to, it helped pay for gas and day care and in the end that is why I ended up being a stay at home mom.

I am going for professional administrative, I just want to get into the front desk at a hospital, court house or social serves.  I just hope something opens up in 2 years.

So in a week I will officially be a college student/wifey/mother/stay at home mother. Wish me luck, I will need it.

Oh and sorry for no posts this last week. My brother and his family (family of 6) came to stay with me for 5 days!  It was so exciting and it was such a blast and in between all that was my oldest daughters 11th birthday and her birthday party.  There will posts to look out for soon and I will be also holding an school breakfast week.

All 10 cousins and Nana's house

My life Monday

So less than a week ago we had to put down our Ralphie.  It was a first time for me as a pet owner and our family did not take it well.

He was our cuddle buddy, the one who would find anything to lay on just to get attention especially the kids home work.

It is the little butt head things they did you miss like he was horrible with the little box he would just never wipe his feet so I was sweeping us 3 times a day and now the floor is always clean.  He loved bread and chips and always had to lock the cabinets and and place the bread in the fridge and I am still locking the cabinets and placing the bread in the fridge because it is what we do even though we don't have to do it anymore.  No more scratching of the wooden door frames, no more sitting at the dinner table waiting for everyone to eat and then trying to sneak food off plates.  He was sassy but he was the best boy ever and we miss him every day but I am so glad he isn't sick or is not is pain anymore.

We love you Ralphie
